UC GND Chapters and Coalition Partners

If members of your group, or your organization as a whole want to join us in pressuring the UC to enact a UC Green New Deal, we’d love to get in contact with you: ucgreennewdeal@gmail.com

We are working to build our coalition membership across all ten University of California campuses: Berkeley, Davis, Irvine, Merced, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Diego, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, and Santa Cruz.

We are made up of organizations and individuals, including students, trainees, staff, unions, faculty, retirees, alumni, and local community members with a common goal: making concrete and integrated actions to help avert the worst consequences of the climate crisis and to promote environmental justice.

UC San Diego, UC Berkeley, UC Santa Cruz, and UCLA all have local Green New Deal chapters at their campuses. At Davis, we have members who are a part of The Climate Reality Project who are demanding immediate action on climate change at all levels of decision-making. In the past we’ve had members organizing with the Sunrise Movement calling for a national Green New Deal at Irvine.

Whether you’re already part of an organization or not, we’d love to have you join our coalition pushing for the UC to be bold in their efforts to combat climate change and ensure climate and environmental justice.
